Success means loving your life… all of it!

Success...feeling happyHow you treat yourself is the most important part of success. If you are not ‘in love’ with your everyday life then maybe you need a review of what matters most!

I may not be the poster child for health and fitness, but I lead the way when it comes to living within my own set of rules and taking my happiness to the maximum. Making sure every part of your life is an achievement will give you a well rounded view on happiness. To make yourself truly a success you need to be in a blissful state, content with all facets of day to day living. That includes your morning ritual, your workday, your family life, your rest and recreation and your mental health and spirituality, giving and taking what you believe is right for you.

The past two years have been a roller coaster and if I was a lesser woman it may have thrown me completely for a loop. Preparing my heart and mind to tackle anything thrown at me was not as easy as it sounds. I have had to change the way I think about stressors and work out how to not let them cause me any grief. I needed to take the great Aussies saying of “She’ll be right mate!” and apply it to challenges that are thrown my way.

How did I do it?

Changing your mindset to one of abundance and fulfilment, means looking at everything on the bright side. Be a glass half full kind of gal. Believing that the challenges set for you have a reason and looking deeper into it to find the good. It is not easy, it takes work to do this. Never look at issues at just face value, always look inside and find the hidden gems. Within every problem is a solution, and sometimes this solution changes your path. Don’t just accept it, battle with it, talk it out, think of the pros and cons. When you have these, you need look at how they make you feel and to say…

WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY?

Take away the factor of other peoples judgements, never ask what will make other people think more of me? Or what would my family expect me to do?

If this all sounds a little selfish, it is! You need to be the best you can be before you can be of benefit to anyone else and that includes your children, your partners, you colleagues, your friends.

You can tell when someone is troubled, they don’t work to full capacity. They are not making a success of their life.

Here are five questions you can use when solving problems or making decisions about how to treat yourself to be successful.

  1. How do I feel about how this affects me?
  2. What good can come from this? (I will be stronger, happier, fitter, healthier, free etc)
  3. What path do I need to take to get there that will make me come alive?
  4. How can I use my unique skills to make it happen or not? (Confidence in your abilities is a big part of overcoming challenges.)
  5. Will this have a positive affect on those around me?

Your state of mind plays a huge part in the outcomes of issues. You need to use positivity and feeling to get the right answer. Be steadfast in making sure you are happy with the outcome. I know change is never easy, but if it is for the best then don’t fight it.
